Wherever there’s a piazza with a cold fountain for cooling off on a hot summer day in Rome.
What is your hidden talent?
A parent-like ability to find whatever thing it was you lost.
What is your favorite hobby?
I love learning about “untranslatable” words from other languages— words that capture things English doesn’t have words for (but maybe should). In Italian, “l’abbiocco” refers to the sleepiness one feels after eating a big meal. My other favorite hobby is cooking Italian food, especially big meals, then napping.
What is one piece of advice for future SYA students?
Invest in learning the language of your country! It really pays off.
