NORTH ANDOVER, MASS. (June 12, 2018) - School Year Abroad (SYA) has announced that a generous donor has offered to match all new gifts to the SYA Fund made between now and June 30, up to $25,000.
SYA President Tom Hassan commented that “SYA is fortunate to have a dedicated community that believes in what we do, and understands the importance of ‘building a human family that is more informed, empathetic, creative, and cooperative,’ reinforcing the compelling and resonant earlier message from our SYA Fund co-Chairs Adlai Hardin FR’85 and Julian Fu CN’06. We are especially grateful to this generous donor who understands the need for broad-based support, and who doubled his pledge amount to motivate others to give generously as we close our fiscal year on June 30. Thank you to all who have participated so far, and who plan to do so this month. We are really excited to see the community continue to come together for this great cause.”
As an additional bonus, alumni and parents who haven’t yet added their support now have the opportunity for their gifts to be doubled or even tripled. SYA’s trustees have been working on building alumni and parent participation through the $2018% Challenge, launched in February, which could potentially unlock an additional $20,000 if 18% of alumni and 18% of parents give to the SYA Fund this year.
With SYA’s fiscal year closing on June 30, your partnership and generous support will be appreciated (now, more than ever)!
Make your gift today.
