This year's SYA Spain journalism class recently published its annual publication, El Guiño. For the first time in the publication's history, under the leadership of literature and journalism faculty member Ángeles Errazu, the students worked with local peers to share perspectives on topics ranging from local culture to science to politics to produce the bilingual issue. Working with former and current faculty members, SYA Spain students wrote their articles in Spanish while students from local Spanish schools wrote in English. Executive Director Eileen Kelly-Aguirre said, "The opportunity to share in this immersive experience enriched the learning of both our students and the Spaniards."
