SYA Summer, an extension of School Year Abroad (SYA), offers five-week summer abroad programs for high school students in China, France, Italy and Spain. SYA Summer Language Institutes in China, France and Spain, are designed for high school students who are dedicated to dramatically improving their language proficiency.
SYA Summer's newest initiative in Italy has an added global studies component. Students will take introductory, practical, real-life Italian classes as well as participate in seminars, taught in English, which will focus on a different global issue each week.

Each high school summer program focuses on intensive language instruction and cultural immersion, enabling you to make significant progress in the language while experiencing the sights and sounds of the city and country you are joining. Living with a caring host family; numerous extracurricular opportunities; frequent afternoon and weekend excursions and a carefully planned week of travel at the end of each session add up to one positive summer experience of growth.
