Text that outlines FA information for 2023-2024

It is our belief that all qualified students deserve an SYA experience, regardless of their financial background. In a typical year, nearly 40% of our families receive about $2.5 million in grants averaging approximately 50% of tuition costs. SYA strives to meet the need of all admitted students who qualify for financial aid; however, we cannot guarantee that all families who qualify for financial aid will receive a grant. Families who are concerned that SYA may be beyond their means are encouraged to apply for financial aid and to look into financing options that can make SYA an affordable and realistic choice.

We understand that the decision to pay for a child’s education requires careful consideration. Decades of experience has taught us that SYA is a very sound investment, for it proves year after year to have a profoundly positive effect on our students’ personal growth, high school career and college prospects.

SYA Merit Scholarships

School Year Abroad recognizes high school students who demonstrate exceptional academic ability, commitment to their home school communities and passion for exploring other cultures. In addition to need-based financial aid, SYA offers a range of  study abroad scholarships for high school students (some with specific criteria) to assist families with providing their children an outstanding academic experience.

Recipients of our study abroad scholarships are not precluded from receiving additional financial assistance should the family qualify for financial aid.

Scholarship recipients will be notified at the time of acceptance.
