SYA France's 50th anniversary celebrations are one week away today and will launch with a Mayoral Reception at the Salons de l'Hôtel de Ville de Rennes on Friday, March, 24, 2017.
We are pleased to announce that all of the main weekend events taking place from March 24 – 27, have now reached capacity as alumni, parents, trustees, current and former faculty and staff, host families, and local dignitaries will gather to reconnect and celebrate this milestone in SYA's history.
This 50th anniversary year commemorates SYA France's impact on the more than 3,000 alums who have passed through its doors since 1967, as well as formally recognizing the unwavering commitment shown by the city of Rennes in its support of the school. Anniversary events will include the mayoral reception, a gala celebration, back-to-school classes, faculty and student-guided day trips in Rennes, and excursions to Mont. St. Michel and the Normandy beaches to name but a few.
Speaking in advance of the four-day celebration, SYA President Tom Hassan said, "We are utterly thrilled at the response from the SYA community to this event and very much looking forward to celebrating with guests, some of whom will be traversing the globe to return to Rennes for the first time since they graduated from SYA France. Our deepest gratitude goes to everyone who is making this event happen, you're all a part of our past and our future as we look forward to imagining the next 50 years at SYA France."
